Necesito Ayuda: Muchisimas Gracias!!!

thanks to the several of you that replied to question. . .I am so
grateful for the help. thanks again.

This record is really an eye opener for me. I went through that film
record by record about 9 months ago when my research was only 3 months
old. I saw that record but at the time I had no idea who Manuel
Castaneda and Lugarda Diaz were. So this brings up a good point about
why certain films should be made permanent at your family history
center. As your knowledge grows you will definitely have different
insight when you look at certain records. If you look over a film
quickly and send it right back you will be surprised one day when you
need it but its not available without have to reorder it.

So if you are looking in the area where several of your families
generations lived consider making those films part of your (their)
permanent collection at your local family history center. Yes you might
have to be selective as it can get expensive but think how much it would

I've been trying very hard to stay away from Tlaltenango as I go to
Juarez in search of my mom's side of the family, but now that I've made
fabulous progress on that front this new info may be too irresistible
to delay any longer. I've also been delaying my research into
Sombrerete but I think the time is come to travel to these areas in my
genealogical search.

thanks again for your help Steven,

later I'll probably have more questions but right now I'm too sleepy.

ps: Momax is right on the border of Jalisco and Zacatecas in Zacatecas
between Colotlan and Tlaltenango.  Coculiten is also very close to
Momax.

I answered you off group about Guanajuato but the same would apply as
far as Teocaltiche. You need to find your local family history center
and order the films for the 1900 time period and have a look for your
Emeteria Romo-Silva. Here is the specific film for births in the time
period:

Bautismos
1899-1901 -

if you need help finding your local family history center ask. If
you need help in how to find the above info for Teocaltiche ask. I'm
going to be out of town for a few days so someone else might have to
help you if you need help before I get back. Go find your FHC order
that film and when it comes in scour it record by record looking for
your family. If you find a record for your family make a copy and
carefully note the film number on it and the section of the film and
page and record number if any of those apply to your particular film
you order. Never

Hi Joseph,
here is my translation:   the 2nd word in parenthesis is "espresada";
meaning the "above named/referenced". The word before viudo
is "estado"; meaning "marital status".

Hi Joseph--

Okay, here's my take:

The word before viudo looks like "cual," and I think that the second word in the parentheses is "cruxisada" (?), which may refer to the cross and note on the left side.  I could be wrong, though-- this is just my opinion.  Hope this helps.

I need some help with the translation of this document. specifically with the 2nd word in the parenthesis. I thought it was Esposa but that is not correct at least the end of that word dosen't look like "osa" in Esposa. This Manuel Castaneda from possibly Tlaltenango or Momax but here dieing in Santa Maria de Los Angeles, Jalisco is quite possibly the brother of my GGGGG-Grandmother  Maria Concepcion Castaneda. If that turns out to be true then his parents listed as Jose Castaneda and Maria Melchoza would be my GGGGGG-Grandparents.

The way this document looks to me Manuel was first married to Maria
Melchoza Miramontes. He died when he was 80. Can anyone also figure out
the word right before Viudo?

in the parenthesis I translated it like this: (the ______________
above is the mother of the dead man and his wife [woman] was Maria
Lugarda Diaz)

I can't make out that word. I almost looks to me like the priest made a
mistake and had to put this explanation in the record. Seems

Hello Roseholly,

**I am also researching the surnames of Gaeta and Huizar, along with
the spelling variations (or spelling mistakes) which include, Gueta,
Huisar, Guisar, Guizar.

**I am currently looking into two different Gaeta families and two
different Huizar families. The two different Gaeta families are
probably related but I have not found the link yet, likewise for the
two different Huizar families.

**I was looking over your genealogy file and found some names that I
recognized. The first was Martina Cardenas married to Angel Lopez.
Martina is the sister of my great-great-grandmother. Martina's
paternal grandmother was Ana Maria Gaeta, one of the Gaeta Lines I am
following. I am not sure if Martina's family is one of the families
you are following but just in case it was, I have included her
christening information, marriage information, and the christening
information for seven of her children. See below:
