Notary Records, Land and Water Records

has anyone ever had a look at the Notary records? How about the Land
and Water Records? If you have can you give an idea of what kind of
info is found on these films. I'm wondering if there might not be
some books on the subject of these records. I've got a feeling that
there might be a wealth of information on a few select individuals
within these records.

thanks,

joseph

I also have Macias Valadez from Aguascalientes.  They
became Macias though, and moved to the Jalostotitlan, Jal. area.  There are
still Macias in Aguascalientes too.  Maria-Cayetana Macias-Valdez was my
nearest paternal 5th grandma.

Joseph,

I reviewed file and I could not make a
connection. However, my great-great grandfather, Brigido Suarez, married Julia
Valadez in Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes 1860, for what it is
worth.

Less Than Two Months Away. . .

yes in deed. . .its less than two months away before the axe swings.
Right now I'm just spending my time carefully honing the edge of my axe
to a surgical sharpness. The second annual purge of Ranchos members.
The loping off of member subscriptions for those that meet the
following two requirements:

1) they haven't sent in their genealogies

2) they haven't communicated with me and thus bought more time

NOTE: now every time I send this kind of message I always seem to upset
the "good" members and make them think I'm talking
about them. If you want to know if you are on my "short" list of "bad"
members then just go to the "files" and "links" areas of the group and
see if you have a "genealogy" folder in place with your info in it. If
you don't then you can expect an email from me in about a month
wondering "what's goin on?"

NOTE(2): now those of you that have no work submitted fall into two
catagories: 1) those that have communicated and have received a buy (or
is it "by") and

Request for Batch Numbers for Jonathan

Jonathan and I had a very nice conversation the other day and it turns
out there are some technical difficulties with getting the (very large)
batch files for Jalisco and Zacatecas downloaded into the Ranchos2
website. But he did send me the batch numbers for Aguascalientes and
they are available in Ranchos2 under "batch numbers" . . .now wouldn't
this be a good enough reason for you 15 or so members to review if you
have access to Ranchos2 and notifiy me? Afterall there is a lot more
stuff in that "files" area on our research in general that you might be
interested in. Have a look.

So I just said all this to say that we are looking into how to get
Jalisco and Zacatecas downloaded and available to all that have access
to Ranchos2. Hopefully we should have this resolved and online in the
next week. . .in the meantime have a look at Aguascalientes.

ps: again Thanks Jonathan for all your hard work in helping us the
Ranchos members as we search for our ever elusive

Would like to have that batch numbers list...

Hello Jonathan,

Would you be so kind to send me the list of batch numbers, please?

Joseph,

I have copies of the Parish and Vital Records Index, for all of
Mexico.  Which lists about 90% of the batch numbers, for Mexico.  I
can send whoever would like a copy.  I have it, in a PDF format.

Thanks,
Jonathan
