Hi Alice,
I was looking for your genealogy in the files section, but couldn't
find it.  You said you have Martin del Campo ancestry and I wanted to
see if we have a link.  I have several Martin del Campo lines in my

supposedly they descend from Moctezuma. For whatever reasons, people
laugh hysterically when they hear Moctezuma's name. And former
President Lopez-Portillo was a Martin del Campo, as well, and that
elicits more laughter. Sadly, my grandparents came to Carpinteria,
CA to pick lemons and green beans, making all these discoveries seem
unreal to people.

Dear Joseph,

Attached is my family history from my grandmother, Altagracia Gonzalez.  Please look it over and ensure that it starts with her.  I'm sorry it's a zip file and I think a Gedcom.  I converted it from PAF.5

Anyway, my ignorance of computer programming is what has delayed my submitting this to you.  My Saldivar line married into the Morillo line that was entered by a Villavicencio bride.  This Villavicencio (Juliana del

Hi, Al. Can you provide me with more information on
your Chihuahua family. Specifically for the Saenz and
Flores. I'm researching my wife's family, and on her
mother side they are Flores and Saenz. Only they are
from Valle del Rosario. Any information will be
greatly appreciated.

Actually, I believe she was from Delicias, Chihuahua.  I have to check my marriage records to confirm it. But my uncle Nicanor Prieto was from Camargo, Chihuahua.  I also have Sanez, Pena, Fierro, Villa, Fernandez, Alvarez, Ortega, Leyva, and many others. from Camargo and San Francisco de Conchos.  Please see my family tree on this website.

Viva Chihuahua! And also Zacatecas!

Regards.

Rey/Reyes Name

Al,

I don't find maria in my files but, I do have about
40 Banuelas from Camargo in my tree. Three of my grandparents were born in
Camargo and perhaps Maria Flores Banuelas is connected thru the Banuelas line.
Some of my surnames in Camargo are  SAENZ, MEDINA,
SAAVEDRA,  AGUILAR, FIERRO, RUIZREY, GUTIERRES, VASQUES,
PORRAS,  RUBIO,  FLORES AND BANUELAS.   Do

Yolanda:

Was Maria Flores Banulos related to you? She was married to my great-uncle Nicanor Prieto, in Camargo, Chihuahua, circa 1900.

Rey/Reyes Name

I have on more than one occasion
heard that people with the Rey or
Reyes last name belong to one and the
same family. How can this be
possible??  Has anyone heard similar
comments or can anyone
elaborate. Is it a root name of another name, where
does it
orginate, does it come from another country??? In my family I have

RuizRey, Flores-Rey, Rey, these families are from the Camargo

Chihuahua area. Yet, my daughter married a Tomas Rey in El Paso,
Tx.

Are they related or what?

Thanks for the very nice and informative e-mail on the
surnames.
