I have been extracting various marriages from Zapotlanejo, Jalisco. I've been doing this ever since I discovered I had roots in that town. Unfortunately, it's going to be harder than I thought. There are huge gaps in the baptism and marriage archives. There are no baptisms between 1708 and 1726, and there are no marriage films between 1743 and 1768, and up to 1776, and even some beyond, do not mention the names of the novios' parents. Bummer! I'll have to rely on every other scrap of information I could possibly get my hands on: padrones, dispensas, bautismos, defunciones, and marriages.
For María Cortez, I've had in mind a message you once sent me regarding some of the surnames I have from Zapotlanejo, which include Alvarez, Nuño, Regalado, Cortés, Vásquez, Gómez, and others.

It just so happens that I do have an Alvarez line from Zapotlanejo. I haven't looked at any films from Zapotlanejo, but I have a marriage record from Ixtlahuacán del Río for my twice 4th great |

The couple, Remijio Marquez and Simona Raigosa sound familar. But I can't seem to find them in my notes. Let me keep looking and I will get back to you. I think I might have them somewhere. I have many Marques/Marquez and Raigosa/Raygosa in my family. Also, just to clarify...cause I was a little unsure of your post. Are Jacinto Aguirre and Maria Marquez the parents of Baudelio Aguirre?
