I just found a record that has been eluding me for a very long time. If anyone is interested it is a very interesting read. As mentioned the couple is Joseph Moreno de Ortega and Petrolina Ramirez married in Lagos de Moreno 1708.

the basic facts are as follows ... however, as I mentioned it is an interesting read ... you rarely find more than names and dates and this one tells of a love story between a young man from a “familia de calidad” and a young woman of “baja esphera” .... just thought I’d share.

We are descended (2x) from the brother of Joseph Moreno de Ortega and sister of Petronila Ramírez: Juan Antonio Moreno de Ortega and Graciana Ramírez (married in 1715) through their two daughters: María Catarina (1741 cc Evaristo José Gómez), and Ana María (1738 cc Nicolás Antonio de Jaso).
Sisters Graciana and Petronila Ramírez are granddaughters of Baltazar de los Reyes and Graciana de Ramos AKA de Mezquita, and great-granddaughters of early Lagos residents, Bartolomé de Mezquita and Luísa de Torres.
