BatchSearching
this might be old news but I'm finding it valuable for my work. Has this
been addressed before?
Batch Searching the
LDS films from home: "Or how to get the most bang
for your buck when ordering films."
The batches are just that: "batches" of information keyed into the Family
Search website (http://www.familysearch.org). This
is information that is taken from the films and entered into the International
Genealogical Index. (Not just there but for the specific purpose of Mexican
Genealogy that is where I'm finding my ancestors).
How to find the batch numbers?
well you can go to any LDS Family History Center and look at the Fiche
for your particular surname of research. Find the Fiche for the State then
for the Surname and then find the towns your Ancestors came from.
