Researching Lorenzo Alvarez, born abt 1515, married Augustina De Viera

I've reached a bit of a block. I have traced my family tree back to the 1500's Lorenzo Alvarez (married to Agustina De Viera). I suspect that he was the son of the first conquistadors but can't find any evidence beyond a marriage certificate.
