Has anyone heard the name Felipe/Felipa Neri much?
I found this blip about Neri it sounds Italian:
http://www.midrealm.org/heraldry/escutcheon/0011/0011.html
3) Catalana Di Neri. New Name.
(Würm Wald)
The client attaches a letter from Saint Gabriel (#1737) but provides no
summary (again, my apologies for any error in summarizing the contents).
The name (spelled Catalana di Neri) is described as "typical" of late
15th century Italy. Catalana is documented

This is correct. In Powell's book about Miguel Caldera he has a footnote:
"... This peso de oro común was the basic accounting unit of the royal
treasury in Mexico, and its value was 272 maravedis, divided into eight
reales or tomines of 34 maravedis each (hence, later, the "piece of eight"
and our "bit", one eighth of a dollar). " Thus it is 2 bits or a quarter of
a peso.

Hello Cousin Maria! Well now, I sure do want the info you have on our relatives! Isn't this fun?!! I am thinking there are now THREE of you who I connect with///You/Maria; Angie/ and Kitty and Rich! How are you related to Antonio Campos and Maria Eufracia Castaneda? They would be my fifth generation grandparents..a direct line! In fact, I had Maria Eufrasia's birth and marriage details in my database. Carol, add me to your growing list of cousins. I have more info on the Castañedas I could share with you. Unfortunately Angie, I couldn't connect any of the names on your list with the ones in my database. I would think they are related somehow because the names, places and time periods match up, but I don't see the connection
