abbreviations

 
I would like some help with an abbreviation I've found and havent 
been able to read... the Bautismo entry reads as follows:

En la yglesia Parrpquia de SS Jose de Guehucar en Onze de Marzo de 
Noventa y Ocho Yo el B* D* Jose del Valle Cpp. ........ 

The abbreviation that  is pestering me is the B*. 
D* is surely "Don"  but the B* may be an abbreviation for a religious 
title or something else...??
